World Vision Papua New Guinea (WVPNG) is seeking two dedicated and technically skilled WASH Project Officers – Hardware to join their team in Arawa, Bougainville. This national role is vital to supporting the planning, implementation, and monitoring of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) initiatives in local communities.

With a focus on community engagement and technical delivery, the role is perfect for candidates with hands-on WASH experience, a passion for community development, and strong coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the monthly planning and coordination of WASH activities.

  • Prepare activity plans, arrange logistics, and facilitate field operations.

  • Mobilise target communities for WASH promotion and deliver technical guidance.

  • Provide field-based technical support to WASH artisans, technicians, and community members.

  • Identify and support casual hires (artisans/technicians) with proper documentation and supervision.

  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement with local authorities and partners.

  • Contribute to reporting, documentation of impact stories, and monitoring of assets.

What We’re Looking For

  • Certificate or diploma in Water Supply and Sanitation, Environmental Science, or a related health or technical field.

  • At least 3 years of experience in technical WASH projects (e.g., GFS, rainwater harvesting, borehole drilling).

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in community mobilisation.

  • Strong planning, coordination, training, and facilitation skills.

  • Good computer literacy.

  • Previous experience in emergency response or hygiene programs is an advantage.
